* Instructions:

* This folder contains an interactive plot of surface POC and vertical POC fluxes across the Mackenzie
   Shelf (Arctic Ocean) in summer 2009. The plot was constructed in ArcGIS environment (ESRI, USA)
    with the commercial extension EnterVol for ArcGIS (C Tech).

* The animation is available as a VRML (virtual reality modeling language) file viewable on
  multiple platforms with many freewares available on the web.
  See for example, http://www.web3d.org/x3d/content/examples/X3dResources.html

* We personally suggest the Instant Player from the Instant Reality Framework
   (from The Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics Research IGD)

* To visualize the plot, you simply have to open the "POC_23juin_2012_b.wrl" file with your preferred
   VRML player.

* The 2 other .jpeg files need to be in the same folder as the .wrl file in order to provide the correct
   color palettes for bathymetry and POC fluxes.

* To interact with the plot, you can use the navigation mode "look at" to zoom on the region (which is
  initially a small block in the centre of the screen; as well as the mode "examine" to rotate the plot.

* Additional visualization features are software- and platform-dependant.
